Playmakers, NC Piedmont's Premiere Theater, calls for new NC Folk Plays

Playmakers' Repertory Theater's long tradition of bringing exceptional theater to the NC piedmont is well known, but many are unaware of their roots as a home for folk theater from around the state. Woodshed Arts is excited to help celebrate the next chapter of NC folk theater as Playmakers embarks on an ambitious project--to collect, perform, and tour around North Carolina new short plays by and about the people of our state.

As a way to ensure these short plays really represent the voices of all North Carolinians, Woodshed Arts and other organizations around the state have volunteered to help inexperienced playwrights turn their stories into short plays.
