The Woodshed (both the physical space and the spaces created by Woodshed Artists) serves as a place for children and adults of Chatham County and the surrounding areas to gather, learn, create, and share stories. Our primary goal is to help artists grow and to build community cohesion through collaborative, creative arts. While our focus is on performing arts like theater and music, we understand that the term "collaborative arts" encompasses multiple creative disciplines, from sculpture and painting to cooking and gardening and more.

​We also believe that for communities to grow in their bonds and artistry, it is helpful to connect with artists from outside the community. Woodshed Arts will provide opportunities for local artists to travel and meet other artists and for outside artists to come to us and share.
